Company History
Established in 2000, T&H Power Products, Burscough have over 30 years of experience in providing quality lawn and garden products, as well as Honda powered equipment including lawnmowers and generators. They pride themselves on delivering a highly professional and personalised customer service, and their qualified sales team are always on hand to give sound advice on all our products and services. The T+H business was originally two businesses that amalgamated in 2000 and moved to the current premises in Ormskirk where it has gone from strength to strength. One was a business in Chorley which was a Honda dealership and the other a company in Ormskirk who were into the domestic lawnmowers for example the Atco balmorals etc so it was the perfect mix.
Why did you choose Allett?
We have sold Atco equipment for many years, and it was always a successful side to our business. We wanted to get back involved in cylinder mowers and Allett was the way to go. We have customers coming in with old Atco Royale's who have had them for 20-30 years and they're coming into replace them for the Allett Buckingham's.
What can they expect from walking into a showroom/ What do you offer in terms of servicing?
Everything we sell we tend to have on show. Customers can walk into our showroom and see products in the flesh and touch and feel them to ensure they are the right mower for them. Sometimes we get a bit of criticism from other manufacturers for having too much on show and confusing the customers, but we think we should be showcasing a range of products. Customers won’t go out of here empty handed- we have something for everyone in every price range. Our full-time driver will deliver your mower that has been PDI checked and will help set it up for you showing you how to use it.
In terms of servicing our driver will collect your mower from your home and deliver it back to you ahead of the mowing season. We have a grinder machine so we can sharpen your cylinder and service your mower. We can usually turn round mowers for service/sharpening within 7-10 days depending on the time of year. We advise you to get your mower serviced in the winter months when we are less busy. T&H Power Products pride ourselves on offering excellent levels of customer service and advice. Whatever your requirements, whatever your budget and whatever the application, our dedicated and personalised customer care service ensures that you will get the right tool for the job. You’ll always find someone at the end of the line or behind the counter with the expertise to answer your questions and provide recommendations. We offer lawnmower servicing to ensure that your machine runs smoothly all year round and look for signs of wear and tear, so parts can be replaced before they fail and cause unnecessary problems. Here at T&H Power Products, we offer a spare parts service for all of our most popular garden machinery and if we don’t have it in stock, we’ll order it for you. We operate both over the counter and mail order for all leading manufacturers, this has established us as biggest one of the best suppliers in lawn and gardening equipment in the entire region as we work tirelessly to ensure you get the parts required.
What are your thoughts on battery powered mowers going forward?
We think battery powered mowers are the future. There has been a noticeable shift in customers coming in asking for battery powered mowers. There are more commercial users going over to battery powered products and they’re sticking with them as they’re paying a lot of money for the batteries which can be used in a range of tools. Once you have the batteries and the chargers you’re invested. We are excited Ego have combined with Allett with the Stirling and are innovating cylinder mowers going forward- the Stirling has some incredible features.
